1967 AL Game: Bsn. @ Was.

 June 17, 1967

 Boston's Jim Lonborg became the first 10 game winner in the AL today when the Red Sox defeated the Washington Senators 8-0. Lonborg (10-1) was excellent on the mound going 7 innings without allowing a run. He lowered his ERA to 2.16 with the fine performance. Tony Conigliaro blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI to lead Boston's hitting attack.

Tony Conigliaro slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at D.C. Stadium where the
Boston Red Sox beat the Washington Senators 8 to 0.
 
Conigliaro had a big day against Washington.  He smashed a two-run homer in
the 1st inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 9th inning.  Boston out-hit
Washington for the game, 11 hits to 7.  
 
Jim Lonborg(10-1) allowed no runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Barry Moore(3-4) absorbed the loss.  He gave up 6 hits and 3 walks in 7
innings.
