1967 NL Game: Chi. @ SF

 September 10, 1967

  The Chicago Cubs turned the tables on the San Francisco Giants and took game 3 of the series 4-0. The Giants had held the Cubs scoreless in the first 2 games, but Fergison Jenkins got his 20th Win of the season today by shutting out the Giants. It was Jenkins 21st complete game and 5th shutout of the season, and the Cubs regained the top spot in the NL.

Fergie Jenkins blanked San Francisco allowing just 3 hits at Candlestick Park
where the Chicago Cubs beat the San Francisco Giants by the score of 4 to
0.
 
Jenkins(20-12) was virtually untouchable.  He surrendered only 3 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings.  Chicago finished with 8 hits in the victory.  
 
Gaylord Perry(14-14) took the loss.  He surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks in 8
innings.
