Jim Wynn ripped 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Houston Astros beat the New
York Mets by a score of 14 to 5.

Wynn was really in 'the zone'. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the
4th inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 6th inning and belted a
three-run homer in the 7th inning. Overall Houston out-hit New York 14 to 8.

The victory went to Bo Belinsky(8-2) who went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs. The
losing pitcher was Bob Hendley(2-4). He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.

'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Wynn said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
