September 30, 1967
With tomorrow being the last day of the scheduled regular season, the Chicago Cubs have not been able to clinch the NL pennant. The Cubs have lost 3 in a row and the San Fransisco Giants have won 2 in a row, so Chicago's magic # remains 2. SF plays game #162 at home tomorrow against the Philadelphia Phillies while the Cubs are at Cincinnati for game #161. If necessary to determine a NL Champion, Chicago will have to make a game rained out vs. the St. Louis Cardinals at home on Monday October 1st.
