1967 AL Game: Chi. @ Clev.

 May 6, 1967

The Chicago White Sox' pitching dominance this season moved up to a new level in today's game against the Cleveland Indians. The Chicago staff has posted a MLB best 2.15 ERA through their first 19 games this year with 2 starters sub 1.00 and today's starter Joe Horlen at 2.08.
In the game today Horlen went 9 innings without giving up a run. Cleveland starter Gary Bell matched him and even went 1 inning better, but still couldn't get the Win. It took 18 innings before Sox centerfielder Tommy Agee homered in the top of the 18th for the lone run in Chicago's 1-0 victory. Wilbur Wood pitched 4 scoreless innings in relief for the Win. George Culver took the loss.

Below the game boxscore are the stats so far this season for the White Sox pitching staff. The 3 top starters are highlighted in red.
